website: www.proqolid.org Keywords : Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO, Quality of Life (QOL), Instruments/Questionnaires, Online Database Since its launch five years ago, the Patient-Reported Outcome and Quality Of Life Instruments (ProQolid) database has grown and evolved to become the reference source for information on PRO instruments on the Internet1 (www.proqolid.org). Here is a brief overview on its development and main features, updated with the release of the new website version last December. Two-level access ProQolid was developed by the Mapi Research Trust in 2002, to meet its objective of facilitating the access to information on PRO instruments for all those involved in the field. With this in mind, ProQolid has been structured with two information levels. • The first level, which is free of charge, contains 14 categories of basic information on the instruments (the author, objective, mode of administration, original language, list of existing translations, etc.). • The second level provides significantly more information about the instruments (contact information, description, psychometric properties) and also includes review copies of instruments, user manuals, and translations. It is restricted to annual subscribers who can access the information with a login or through IP authentication.
